EO/ETO Sterilization Engineer In-Charge (Medical Devices) – Oman

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced EO/ETO Sterilization professional to take responsibility for the Ethylene Oxide sterilization operation at our medical device facility in Oman. This is a hands-on technical role responsible for sterilization operations, cycle optimization, troubleshooting, regulatory compliance, and maximizing sterilizer throughput and chamber utilization. Experience in cycle optimization and sterilizer throughput improvement is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage EO sterilization and aeration operations.
• Plan and control sterilization schedules and chamber loading.
• Optimize sterilization cycles and maximize chamber utilization and cycle output.
• Troubleshoot cycle failures, vacuum systems, gas injection systems, humidity control, and alarms.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 13485, GMP, and medical device sterilization standards.
• Coordinate with QA for biological indicators (BI), chemical indicators (CI), validation, and batch release.
• Maintain sterilization documentation, batch records, and cycle reports.
• Supervise ETO operators and shift operations.
• Improve cycle turnaround time, productivity, and on-time batch release performance.
• Support preventive maintenance and calibration of sterilization equipment.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• 5+ years' experience in EO/ETO sterilization, medical device sterilization, pharmaceutical sterilization, or contract sterilization operations.
• Strong knowledge of EO/ETO sterilization cycles, preconditioning and aeration, load configuration, chamber utilization, biological & chemical indicators (BI & CI), and sterilization validation.
• Experience with GMP/ISO 13485:2016 & ISO 11135:2014 documentation.
• Experience in troubleshooting EO sterilization equipment and process deviations.
• Experience in cycle optimization, load pattern development, and throughput improvement.
• Experience supervising operators and shift operations.
• Working language is English and Hindi; ability to communicate in Hindi is an advantage.

• الإشراف على مشغلي ETO وعمليات النوبات.
• تحسين زمن الدورة والإنتاجية والأداء في إصدار الدفعات في الوقت المحدد.
• دعم الصيانة الوقائية ومعايرة معدات التعقيم.

المؤهلات والمتطلبات:

• خبرة لا تقل عن 5 سنوات في تعقيم EO / ETO، تعقيم الأجهزة الطبية، تعقيم الأدوية، أو عمليات التعقيم المتعاقد عليها.
• معرفة قوية بدورات تعقيم EO/ETO، التحضير والتهوية، تكوين التحميل واستغلال الغرف، مؤشرات بيولوجية وكيميائية، والتحقق من صحة التعقيم.
• خبرة في حل مشكلات معدات التعقيم وانحرافات العملية.
• القدرة على تحسين دورات التعقيم ونمط التحميل وزيادة الإنتاجية.
• خبرة في الإشراف على المشغلين وعمليات النوبات.
• اللغة: الإنجليزية مطلوبة، الهندية ميزة إضافية.
