1. General Manager, Digital and Growth Services (Omanis Only)

Role Purpose
Lead the development and implementation of strategies, initiatives, and programs for emerging services such as OTT services, AR/VR, AI, Smart-home, Fintech, and Insure-Tech. Ensure the organization stays at the forefront of technology trends and realizes new revenue streams from non-telco services.

Minimum Requirements

• Internal Applicants: Bachelor’s degree with 8 years relevant experience, including 5 years in management.

• External Applicants: Bachelor’s degree with 10 years relevant experience, including 5 years in management.

Key Accountabilities

• Provide strategic leadership for Omantel’s digital and growth agenda, ensuring alignment between core telecom priorities and non-core digital expansion.

• Shape and scale Omantel’s non-core digital portfolio, leveraging telecom assets while enabling independent growth.

• Lead the development and execution of digital and growth strategies supporting diversification and long-term objectives.

• Develop, maintain, and govern departmental policies, processes, and procedures to ensure consistency and operational excellence.

• Contribute to departmental budget planning and allocation, ensuring efficient resource utilization.

• Define departmental objectives and establish SMART KPIs to drive performance and measurable outcomes.

• Oversee SLA management with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely delivery.

• Build and manage an integrated roadmap for digital and emerging services aligned with customer needs and market dynamics.

• Continuously monitor market trends, customer insights, and technology evolution to prioritize growth opportunities.

• Lead ideation, development, and commercialization of new digital products and services.

• Oversee product lifecycle from concept and MVP validation to launch, scaling, and continuous optimization.

• Establish and manage strategic partnerships to accelerate innovation and long-term value creation.

• Drive adoption of emerging technologies across the organization.

• Measure and evaluate performance and effectiveness of digital services using KPIs and data insights.

• Ensure compliance with internal governance standards, corporate policies, and data protection requirements.

• Build, lead, and develop high-performing teams while fostering a customer-centric, innovation-driven culture.
