Retail Asset Officer (Security Guard)

Role Profile:

The Retail Asset Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the retail environment, guiding evacuations during emergencies, and maintaining operational control of mall premises.

Key Responsibilities:

• Secure and clear a 30-meter area, close entrances, and prevent unauthorized video recording.

• Direct people to exits; ensure elevators, escalators, and travellators are not used during emergencies. Assist elderly or disabled individuals as needed.

• Evacuate shops, toilets, parking areas, and ensure fire exits are open and machinery is turned off.

• Guide firefighters and emergency personnel to incident locations; request assistance from the control room for trapped individuals.

• Maintain fast and accurate communication with the control room and management; issue evacuation calls only after confirmation.
