Airport Specialist – Masterplanning & Design

Description

This is a senior leadership role for a highly experienced Airport Masterplanning and Design Specialist, leading the planning, design, and management of major airport development projects in Oman and internationally. The successful candidate will drive the strategic execution of large-scale, multidisciplinary airport infrastructure programs and serve as the main technical liaison for government and airline clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Airport Infrastructure Planning:
  Oversee the design and development of airside (runways, taxiways) and landside (terminal buildings, support facilities) infrastructure.

• Technical Design Solutions:
  Develop engineering solutions for airports located in challenging geographical conditions.

• Regulatory and Aeronautical Compliance:
  Conduct advanced Aeronautical and Airspace Studies, ensuring strict adherence to ICAO, FAA, IATA, and EASA standards.

• Master Planning:
  Prepare and approve detailed Airport Master Plans aligning with international aviation design and safety standards.

• Project Leadership:
  Manage complex, multidisciplinary airport programs from concept to completion, ensuring technical excellence and successful delivery.

• Team Mentorship:
  Lead and mentor diverse engineering teams, promoting collaboration, innovation, and technical integrity.

Candidate Profile

• Experience: Minimum 20 years in airport planning, design, and project management.

• Education: Degree in Civil or Aviation Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).

• Technical Expertise:
  Proven record in airport master planning, aeronautical studies, and delivery of large-scale aviation projects.

• Regulatory Knowledge:
  Deep understanding of ICAO Annexes, FAA, IATA, and EASA design practices.

• Leadership Skills:
  Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams within an international engineering consultancy environment.

• Work Environment:
  Experience working in complex terrains and challenging climates.

Compensation & Benefits (Expat Package)

• Salary: OMR 3,000 – 3,500 per month

• Housing & Transport: Provided in addition to base salary
