Resident Inspector

Roles & Responsibilities

On-site Construction Oversight

Oversee all dam construction activities on-site, including embankments, spillways, grouting, and associated earthworks.

Quality and Compliance Inspections

Conduct inspections to ensure construction work and materials comply with project specifications and approved standards.

Regulatory and Safety Compliance

Ensure adherence to design, environmental regulations, and health & safety standards on site.

Reporting and Documentation

Record inspection findings, identify incorrect procedures, and communicate technical information to the Resident Engineer. Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.

Technical Issue Resolution

Support resolution of technical and design issues by liaising with contractors and escalating unresolved issues to the Resident Engineer.

Coordination and Communication

Coordinate activities among contractors, subcontractors, and site staff to ensure smooth project execution.

Review of Work Plans

Assist in reviewing work plans, method statements, and material submittals for compliance and feasibility.

• إجراء وإشراف وتحليل الاختبارات على مواد البناء مثل الخرسانة، الركام، الأسمنت، الفولاذ، والمواد المملوءة (grouts)، سواء في الموقع أو خارجه لضمان مطابقتها لمواصفات ومعايير المشروع

• تنفيذ ومتابعة خطة مراقبة الجودة لجميع المواد المستخدمة في الموقع، والتأكد من مطابقة المواد المستلمة للمواصفات المعتمدة

• مراجعة واعتماد جميع بيانات المواد المقدمة من المقاولين، والتأكد من توافقها مع المعايير الفنية المطلوبة قبل استخدامها في البناء

• التحقيق في عيوب أو إخفاقات المواد وتطوير وتنفيذ الإجراءات التصحيحية للحفاظ على سير المشروع دون المساس بالجودة أو السلامة

• حفظ سجلات مفصلة لجميع الاختبارات والنتائج وإجراءات مراقبة الجودة، وإعداد تقارير للإدارة العليا والمهندسين المشرفين

• مراقبة مخزون واستخدام مواد البناء لضمان التوريد في الوقت المناسب وتوفرها للأنشطة الميدانية

Job Description

• Conduct, supervise, and analyze tests on construction materials such as concrete, aggregates, cement, steel, and grouts, both on-site and off-site, to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards

• Implement and oversee the quality control plan for all materials used on-site, ensuring delivered materials meet approved submittals and specifications

• Review and approve all material submittals from contractors, ensuring they meet the required technical standards before use

• Investigate and diagnose material-related failures and defects, develop and implement corrective actions to maintain project progress without compromising quality or safety

• Maintain detailed records of all material tests, inspection results, and quality control procedures, preparing reports for senior engineers and project managers

• Monitor stock and usage of construction materials to ensure timely delivery and availability for site activities
