Strategic Responsibilities:

• Lead the process discipline design team of engineers and designers, reporting to HOD-Process Engineering.

• Review Basis of Design and Concept Note documents from the client.

• Raise and resolve technical queries related to the project scope.

• Support AIPSM compliance by closing process engineering DEM-1/2, LFI/LL, etc.

• Support PDO/Shell Engineering Process Safety Fundamentals throughout project design lifecycle.

Financial Responsibilities:

• Prepare cost, time, and resource (CTR) estimates and project schedules.

• Interact with clients for CTR basis, negotiate and finalize project Scope of Work (SOW) and man-hours.

• Provide input for early procurement budget planning.

• Liaise with business development for engineering software needs.

Operational Responsibilities:

• Review and perform process simulations and optimization studies.

• Review PFS, heat and material balances, and equipment sizing calculations.

• Review engineering deliverables including PEFS, PSFS drawings, project design basis, hydraulic reports, control and safeguarding philosophies, tie-in and shutdown philosophies.

• Support technical studies such as Design HAZID and HAZOP.

• Prepare design and HAZOP review reports and ensure closeout of findings.

• Represent the process department in IPF studies, SIMOP, MOPO, HFE, VCA, layout reviews, ARM.
