Process & Release Management Specialist

Role purpose:

This role is responsible for end-to-end technology release management, & overall process design, implementation and continual improvement through stringent process governance based on industry standards & best practices like ITIL, eToM, ISO 20000 and ISO27000. Process & Release Manager to ensure process consistency across technology operations, support Teams & own the release management, CAB, ECAB.

 

Key accountabilities and decision ownership 

 Define, implement and manage End-to-End technology operation processes, KPIs, SLAs, OLAs for Vodafone Oman to achieve fully automated effective and efficient operations delivering best quality of service to Vodafone Oman customers.

Manage risk and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality.

Conduct release readiness and go no go reviews.

Lead and co-ordinate the execution of deployment plans and checklist.

Maintain release repository, build and release procedures and dependencies.

Liaison with operation leads, change spocs, various NOC’s, suppliers and Managed Service partners for effective process & release control & execution.

Own the e2e Release management, CAB, ECAB for technology operations, follow Ci/CD, DevOPS best practices.

Report on consistency, alignment, maturity, effectiveness, and compliance of all the process across technology operation.

Bring in continual service improvement and enhancement, with highest quality through Automation (CI/CD, DevOps). Managing, monitoring and achieving the set KPI’s, SLAs for Technology Operations like Best Network & Service Availability, zero incidents caused by change etc.

Ensure Customer Centricity is at the heart of Technology operations by well-defined processes & controlled release.

Implanting & maintaining industry standard certifications for Technology Operation Function like ISO 27001, ISO 20000

Inventory processes, ensuring each are documented and timely reviewed with flowcharts, process guides, or other documentation as per ISO 20000 and 27000 standards

Review processes to identity opportunities for automation to deliver most effective and efficient operation with first time right.

Develop regular process scorecards and dashboards

 

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

 Uses a range of research and data analysis techniques to identify changes in the operating environment that have a direct impact on business.

Translates data into insights that identify opportunities and highlights threats to the business.

Be able to work independently and must have prior knowledge on how to manage, escalate and resolve telecom and IT technology issues in a management service context.

Uses Data mining to understand trends and use business models to give insights into the findings

Good understanding of industry standards & best practices like ITIL, CI/CD, DevOPS ISO 2000 and ISO2700.

Working experience on the key Operational processes definition and implementation in the process management tools, like, event, Incident, release & change, problem and Service Management.

Good Understanding of virtualized Network and IT Service Management and Service KPIs / KQIs

Excellent Partner and Vendor management

Ability to understand, adapt and maintain Next Generation OSS / BSS tools for Automated and Cognitive Operation based ITIL and other industry standard best practices.

غرض الدور:

صيانة مستودع الإصدارات وإجراءات البناء والإصدار والتبعيات.

التواصل مع قادة العمليات، ومسؤولي التغيير، ومراكز عمليات الشبكة المختلفة، والموردين، وشركاء الخدمة المدارة لضمان التحكم الفعال في العملية والإصدار والتنفيذ.
