In collaboration with the Ministry of Labor, Sohar University is seeking to appoint an experienced and motivated Research Officer for a temporary, fixed-term contract. The position is available for immediate appointment, and we invite qualified Omani candidates to apply.

Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of specialty (preferably in Science, Engineering, or Social Sciences).
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a research environment, preferably within an academic institution or research organization.
- Proven proficiency in using productivity software applications (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, etc.).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Arabic (written and verbal).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across various administration levels.
- Detail-oriented, with a high level of accuracy in managing research data.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage research data curation, analysis, and the progress monitoring of research projects at the university.
- Ensure the proper documentation, classification, and organization of research findings.
- Act as the primary liaison between internal and external stakeholders concerning research matters.
- Coordinate with faculty members and research teams to provide support for ongoing projects and research activities.
- Identify and pursue external funding opportunities, including paid-for research, consultancy services, and other potential sources of funding for researchers.
- Conduct regular progress reports on research activities and contribute to strategic discussions on project developments.
- Assist in drafting research publications and proposals for future academic collaborations.
- Contribute to the development of research methodologies and provide insights for enhancing the research quality at Sohar University.

المؤهلات المطلوبة
- - درجة البكالوريوس في مجال التخصص ذي الصلة (يفضل أن يكون في العلوم أو الهندسة أو العلوم الاجتماعية).
- - خبرة لا تقل عن سنة واحدة في بيئة بحثية، ويفضل أن تكون ضمن مؤسسة أكاديمية أو منظمة بحثية.
- كفاءة مثبتة في استخدام تطبيقات برامج الإنتاجية (Microsoft Office Suite، Google Workspace، وما إلى ذلك).
- مهارات قوية في التحليل والتنظيم وإدارة الوقت.
- مهارات تواصل ممتازة باللغتين الإنجليزية والعربية (كتابة ولفظيا).
- القدرة على العمل بشكل مستقل وتعاوني عبر مختلف مستويات الإدارة.
- موجه للتفاصيل، مع مستوى عال من الدقة في إدارة بيانات البحث.
الأدوار والمسؤوليات
- إدارة تنظيم بيانات البحث، وتحليلها، ومراقبة تقدم مشاريع البحث في الجامعة.
- ضمان التوثيق والتصنيف والتنظيم المناسب لنتائج البحث.
- العمل كحلقة وصل أساسية بين أصحاب المصلحة الداخليين والخارجيين فيما يتعلق بمسائل البحث.
- التنسيق مع أعضاء هيئة التدريس وفرق البحث لتقديم الدعم للمشاريع والأنشطة البحثية الجارية.
- تحديد فرص التمويل الخارجي ومتابعتها، بما في ذلك الأبحاث المدفوعة، وخدمات الاستشارات، وغيرها من مصادر التمويل المحتملة للباحثين.
- إجراء تقارير منتظمة عن التقدم المحرز في أنشطة البحث والمساهمة في المناقشات الاستراتيجية حول تطوير المشاريع.
- المساعدة في صياغة المنشورات البحثية ومقترحات التعاون الأكاديمي المستقبلي.
- المساهمة في تطوير مناهج البحث العلمي وتقديم الرؤى لتعزيز جودة البحث العلمي في جامعة صحار.
