OPEN POSITION – OPERATION ENGINEER

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Operations Engineer to support our drilling and well intervention activities. The ideal candidate will ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations, respond to challenges, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities include monitoring real-time drilling, optimizing parameters, preparing drilling programs, and ensuring HSE compliance. The role also involves performance monitoring and continuous improvement. At Shaleem Petroleum Company, the Operations Engineer will work closely with rig crews, service providers, and stakeholders to drive successful drilling outcomes and enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline

• 3+ years of experience in drilling operations, well engineering (field engineering/rig experience preferred)

• Strong understanding of drilling systems, well design principles, and rig equipment

• Proficient with drilling engineering software

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments

• Strong communication and coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

Drilling & Well Intervention Operations Support:

• Monitor real-time drilling activities and provide technical guidance to rig teams

• Optimize drilling parameters, bit selection, mud programs, and bottom-hole assemblies

• Troubleshoot drilling challenges such as stuck pipe, lost circulation, wellbore instability, and torque & drag issues

Planning & Program Development:

• Assist in preparing detailed drilling programs, operational procedures, and engineering calculations

• Perform well design analyses including casing design, cementing plans, hydraulics modeling, and torque & drag simulations

• Coordinate equipment needs, logistics, and service-provider integration for upcoming wells

Safety & Compliance:

• Ensure operations comply with HSE policies, industry standards (API, ISO), and regulations

• Participate in HAZOPs, risk assessments, and pre-spud meetings

• Support incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions

Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

• Track and analyze drilling performance KPIs (fat time, NPT, ROP, cost per meter, etc.)

• Prepare daily operational reports and end-of-well reports with lessons learned and recommendations

• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and cost reduction

Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination:

• Coordinate with contractors, service companies, and suppliers for timely and reliable operations

• Evaluate service quality and support procurement teams in technical bid evaluations

• Participate in cross-functional meetings with geology, reservoir, HSE, and supply chain teams

المؤهلات:

• بكالوريوس في هندسة البترول، الهندسة الميكانيكية، أو تخصص ذي صلة.

• خبرة 3 سنوات أو أكثر في عمليات الحفر، هندسة الآبار، ويفضّل خبرة على منصات الحفر.

• فهم قوي لأنظمة الحفر، مبادئ تصميم الآبار، ومعدات الحفر.

• إجادة استخدام برامج هندسة الحفر.

• مهارات قوية في حل المشكلات والعمل تحت الضغط في بيئة سريعة.

• مهارات تواصل وتنسيق مع فرق متعددة التخصصات.

المهام والمسؤوليات الرئيسية:

عمليات الحفر والتدخل على الآبار:

• مراقبة أنشطة الحفر الفعلية وتقديم التوجيه الفني لفرق الحفر.

• تحسين معلمات الحفر، اختيار الأدوات، برامج الطين، وتركيبات البئر.

• حل المشكلات التقنية مثل الانسداد، فقدان الطين، عدم استقرار البئر، ومشاكل الشد والسحب.

التخطيط وإعداد البرامج:

• المساعدة في إعداد برامج الحفر التفصيلية، الإجراءات التشغيلية، والحسابات الهندسية.

• إجراء تحليلات تصميم البئر بما في ذلك تصميم الغلاف، خطط الأسمنت، نمذجة الهيدروليكا، ومحاكاة الشد والسحب.

• تنسيق احتياجات المعدات، اللوجستيات، وتكامل مقدمي الخدمات للآبار القادمة.

السلامة والامتثال:

• ضمان التزام العمليات بسياسات الصحة والسلامة، المعايير الصناعية (API، ISO)، واللوائح.

• المشاركة في تقييمات المخاطر واجتماعات ما قبل الحفر.

• دعم التحقيق في الحوادث، تحديد الأسباب الجذرية، وتنفيذ الإجراءات التصحيحية.

مراقبة الأداء والتقارير:

• متابعة وتحليل مؤشرات الأداء الرئيسية للحفر (الوقت الفعّال، NPT، سرعة الحفر، تكلفة لكل متر، وغيرها).

• إعداد تقارير التشغيل اليومية وتقارير نهاية البئر مع الدروس المستفادة والتوصيات.

• تحديد فرص تحسين الكفاءة التشغيلية وتقليل التكاليف.

التنسيق مع الموردين وأصحاب المصلحة:

• التنسيق مع المقاولين وشركات الخدمات والموردين لضمان العمليات الموثوقة في الوقت المحدد.

• تقييم جودة الخدمات ودعم فرق المشتريات في التقييمات الفنية للعطاءات.

• المشاركة في الاجتماعات المشتركة مع فرق الجيولوجيا، المكامن، الصحة والسلامة، وسلسلة التوريد.
