About the Role
As a Co-Founder/Investor at GI Blox, you will play an integral role in the company’s growth and strategic direction. This is an exciting opportunity to partner with the CEO and core team to shape the future of a dynamic startup, with a focus on AI-driven digital commerce solutions. You will be involved in both the financial and operational aspects of the business, helping drive market expansion, improve operational efficiencies, and refine the company’s product offerings.
Your investment and strategic leadership will help propel the company through key phases of growth, from scaling operations to innovating product development, particularly within the e-commerce and AI sectors. If you have a strong network, entrepreneurial mindset, and a passion for shaping successful startups, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Investment & Financial Planning• Provide a financial investment between $500,000 and $5 million to fuel GI Blox’s scaling efforts.• Focus on market expansion and platform enhancement, ensuring the financial health and future growth of the business.
- Strategic Leadership• Collaborate closely with the CEO to define and execute key strategic goals, especially focusing on regional expansion into Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, UAE, and other markets.• Make high-level decisions around company strategy, business development, and market positioning.
- Business Development• Leverage your network to form valuable partnerships and open new doors to clients, investors, and business opportunities across the GCC and beyond.• Drive new business relationships and work with internal teams to capitalize on market opportunities.
- Operational Guidance• Provide operational insights to improve team development and enhance efficiency in day-to-day business operations.• Advise on strategies that help achieve product-market fit and ensure the long-term sustainability of GI Blox.
- Growth & Scaling• Play an active role in the company's growth strategy, including market penetration and service optimization.• Help design and develop a robust revenue model that includes commission-based sales, subscriptions, and service upsells to sustain growth.
- Brand Positioning• Guide branding and marketing strategies to ensure GI Blox stands out in the competitive landscape.• Leverage innovative marketing tactics, including influencer marketing, social media campaigns, and digital content, to build a strong market presence.
Qualifications
- Investment Experience• Proven experience as an investor or senior financial leader, ideally in the tech or e-commerce sectors.• A strong background in making strategic investments to grow businesses.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset• Demonstrated success in scaling startups or driving growth within high-potential companies.• Ability to navigate the challenges of a fast-paced, growing business environment.
- Industry Knowledge• Familiarity with e-commerce, digital marketing, SaaS platforms, or ERP systems (Odoo experience is a plus).• Strong understanding of the technology-driven commerce landscape and AI applications.
- Strategic Network• Strong professional network in the GCC region, with a proven ability to create meaningful business partnerships.• Experience leveraging connections to accelerate business growth and market expansion.
- Leadership Skills• Ability to make critical business decisions that align with the company’s mission and growth objectives.• Provide hands-on leadership while collaborating with the executive team.
