Description
The Odoo ERP Techno-Functional Consultant is responsible for the successful implementation,
customization, and support of Odoo ERP solutions to meet business requirements. This role
combines deep technical expertise with functional knowledge of business processes, ensuring
that the ERP system is effectively integrated into the business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Business Analysis and Requirements Gathering:
o Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document their
requirements and business processes.
o Conduct gap analysis to identify the difference between current systems and
required functionalities.
o Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications for technical teams.
• Technical Solution Design and Implementation:
o Design, configure, and customize Odoo ERP modules to align with business
requirements.
o Develop and implement custom modules and features in Odoo using Python and
related technologies.
o Ensure seamless integration of Odoo with other business systems and third-party
applications.
• Project Management:
o Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of Odoo ERP implementation projects, including
planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
o Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, and business
users, to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
o Conduct user training sessions and create comprehensive user documentation.
• Testing and Quality Assurance:
o Develop and execute test plans and test cases to ensure the quality and functionality
of Odoo ERP solutions.
o Identify and resolve any issues or defects discovered during testing phases.
o Perform post-implementation reviews to ensure solutions meet business needs and
expectations.
• Support and Maintenance:
o Provide ongoing support and maintenance for Odoo ERP systems, addressing any
technical or functional issues.
o Monitor system performance and implement improvements as necessary.
o Manage system upgrades and apply patches to ensure the ERP system remains up?to-date and secure.
3. Qualifications and Skills:
• Educational Background:
o Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business
Administration, or related field.
• Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in Odoo ERP development, including module customization and
development using Python.
o Strong understanding of Odoo's framework and architecture.
o Experience with PostgreSQL, XML, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
o Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile and water fall
methodologies.
• Functional Skills:
o In-depth knowledge of business processes in areas such as finance, sales, inventory,
HR, and manufacturing.
o Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and
functional configurations.
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Soft Skills:
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work
collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
o Strong organizational and time management abilities.
o Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
• Experience:
o Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Odoo ERP implementation and support.
o Proven track record of successful ERP projects and customizations.
4. Preferred Certifications:
• Odoo certification or relevant ERP certification.
• Project management certification (e. g. Project Management Professional (PMP),
Projects IN Controlled Environments (PRINCE2).
