Reports To (Job Title): Deputy Project Director (Commercial/Contracts)
Project Location: Muscat, Oman
Job Summary:
The Contracts Manager position plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing the contractual aspects of the project. This role involves handling contract negotiations, ensuring compliance, and resolving disputes.
Duties & Responsibilities/Deliverables:
Contract Negotiation: Negotiate and finalize contracts with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders. Ensure that contracts align with project requirements, legal regulations, and company policies.
Contract Administration: Oversee the implementation of contract terms and conditions throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure that all parties involved adhere to contractual obligations.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and liabilities associated with contracts. Develop strategies to mitigate risks and protect the interests of the organization.
Change Order Management: Manage changes to the scope of work and contract amendments. Assess the impact of changes on project timelines and budgets.
Dispute Resolution: Resolve disputes and conflicts related to contracts. Collaborate with legal teams when necessary to address legal aspects of disputes.
Compliance Monitoring: Monitor compliance with contractual, regulatory, and legal requirements. Ensure that projects meet all specified standards and specifications.
Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all contractual agreements and communications. Prepare and manage documentation for claims and variations.
Communication: Effectively communicate contract terms and conditions to project teams and stakeholders. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other professionals to address contractual issues

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
10+ years of relevant work experience in similar positions
