About The Role
We are currently searching for roles focused on the Italian, Spanish and DACH markets.
As a part of the Shopify Revenue team, the Solutions Engineer role brings business value, technical aptitude, and product expertise. If you are drawn to a constantly innovating product PaaS and to solutioning for technical and business challenges with prospective brands, this job is for you.
Alongside Mid-Market sales, the Solutions Engineering team works directly with notable brands and entrepreneurs to develop their commerce strategies, whether that is starting their e-commerce business, building out an omni-channel solution, or leveraging the power of Shopify Payments to scale. This is where you can come in.
As a Solutions Engineer, you’ll drive the technical solutioning for our merchants, build POCs, lead demonstrations and enable our sales and cross-functional teams to show how merchants can accelerate the growth of their business with Shopify Plus.
Requirements for the role:
2+ years of experience in presales solutions engineering or consulting.
Strong executive presence, capable of effectively articulating and advocating ideas to key stakeholders, driving consensus, and influencing decision-making processes.
Solid understanding of cloud-based technologies and SaaS fundamentals.
Deep understanding of technical strategy as it relates to operating and growing commerce businesses.
Hands-on skills of front-end web development (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Liquid).
Strong API knowledge (REST and GraphQL) for enterprise integrations.
Great troubleshooting and analytical skills combined with the desire to tackle challenges head-on.
Strong ability to prioritize work in a high velocity environment.
Native or fluent in English and Spanish, Italian or German.
An additional European language will be a bonus.
