Role Description
- Primary Focus: Monitoring and troubleshooting issues within the DataDog environment, integrating seamlessly with cloud environments, ensuring the platform’s observability and scalability.
Skills, Expertise, and Qualifications
- Monitoring & Observability: Proficiency with DataDog, Prometheus, and Grafana for system performance tracking, creating and managing dashboards, and configuring alerts.
- CI/CD Pipelines: Knowledge of integrating DataDog with CI/CD pipelines.
- Cloud Platforms: Experience with AWS and integrating cloud services with DataDog for unified monitoring.
- Container & Microservices Monitoring: Expertise in monitoring containerized environments with Kubernetes integrated into DataDog.
- Scripting & Automation: Ability to automate monitoring tasks using Python.
- Installation & Configuration: Experience installing DataDog agents, configuring integrations, and managing secure API keys.
- User Management: Familiarity with managing roles, permissions, and best practices in DataDog.
Nice-to-Have
- OpenTelemetry Adoption: Experience migrating from proprietary tracing models (like DataDog’s APM) to OpenTelemetry for distributed tracing.
- API & Platform Migration: Experience migrating teams to a service account model for improved security and smooth transitions.
