Role Purpose:
Responsible for developing, designing, construction and delivering Civil & Electrical Infrastructure in line with corporate objectives, business strategy by adopting modern technology solutions with fixed optimum time & cost. To have a deep technical expertise & understanding of Civil & Electrical infrastructure principles , as well as project management skills to ensure the successful delivery of infrastructure projects on time including building constructions and provide technical leadership and guidance and collaborate closely with other departments to ensure the reliability and scalability of Omantel infrastructure.
Senior Proficient, Demands & Solution Architecture
Role Purpose:
As a Solutions Design and Architecture Senior Proficient at Omantel, you will spearhead the design and architecture of robust IT solutions that strategically propel business objectives. This role is central to developing innovative and practical solutions with a strong emphasis on catalogue-driven approaches for telecom services, effective order management systems, and the integration of Business Support Systems (BSS) and Operational Support Systems (OSS). Additionally, you will play a crucial role in managing demand for IT resources and services, ensuring that IT solutions not only supports but also enhances operational efficiency and customer satisfaction across all channels.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES:
Demand & Solutions Architecture:
Lead the design and implementation of enterprise IT projects focusing on catalogue-driven telecom solutions, integrated order management systems, and comprehensive BSS/OSS architectures.
Develop solution plans that include detailed system specifications, resource allocation, and timelines, aligning with strategic business initiatives.
Work closely with IT teams and business units to capture requirements and deliver architectural solutions that enhance service delivery and operational efficiencies.
Assess and optimize existing architectural frameworks to support scalable and efficient solutions across BSS/OSS and other telecom-specific domains.
Mentor and guide junior architects and designers, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
Stay abreast of technological advancements and industry trends, particularly in telecom BSS/OSS solutions, to incorporate cutting-edge technologies.
Ensure compliance with all relevant standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements in the design and implementation of IT solutions.
Lead technology selection processes, advocating for solutions that best address the operational needs and strategic goals of Omantel.
Conduct proof of concept tests to validate the functionality and performance of proposed architectures and solutions.
