Role Summary:
The Operations Manager is pivotal in ensuring that the operational performance in Fulfillment, Inventory, and Production meets Floward’s high standards, with a particular focus on optimizing logistics operations. This role is responsible for efficiently managing these specific areas to ensure customers receive high-quality products promptly while effectively managing operational and logistics costs. The Operations Manager will demonstrate leadership, analytical skills, and a strategic mindset, with a deep understanding of the ecommerce and logistics industries.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Governance
Collaborate with the Operations Excellence team and the country manager to set KPIs and OKRs for fulfillment, inventory, production, and logistics departments.
Assist country managers in achieving their operational goals and ensure adherence to Floward’s policies and procedures.
Work with other country function leads and central function heads to ensure the operations strategy for these departments aligns with the overall company strategy, with a particular focus on logistics optimization.
Inventory Management
Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability and efficient warehouse and logistics management.
Collaborate with the finance department to leverage economies of scale for inventory procurement and improve gross margins, including logistics cost considerations.
Fulfillment and Production Management
Oversee the fulfillment of orders, including managing the production processes and coordinating last-mile logistics to enhance delivery efficiency.
Control operational costs, focusing on optimizing production cost per order and logistics expenses.
Ensure all operational staff within fulfillment, production, and logistics receive the necessary training and resources to perform efficiently.
Liaise with the Operations Excellence team to continuously improve internal processes and software that support fulfillment, production, and logistics.
Logistics Optimization
Develop and implement strategies to streamline logistics processes, reducing delivery times and costs.
Analyze logistics performance and partner with supply chain management to enhance distribution and transportation strategies.
Analysis & Improvement
Analyze the performance of fulfillment, inventory, production, and logistics operations using available data to drive service improvements.
Continuously seek ways to enhance workforce management and staff planning within these areas, with a focus on logistics efficiency.
Provide stakeholders with insights and advice on local and national market trends that could impact logistics and operations.
