Project Manager
Key Responsibilities/Duties
External Facing:
- Serve as a focal point of the organisation for the project. Act as an interface between Client and Organisation, contractors, suppliers, multi discipline engineers, and other Engineering Projects staff.
- Manage and monitor the progress of the project from the award stage till the issuance of Final Acceptance Certificate. Ensure appropriate coordination of various project activities in the mentioned project phases.
- Discuss and coordinate daily matters with all related stakeholders, holds regular meetings to review projects status and all related issues.
- Leading project delivery in line with the agreed outcomes within the timeframes, cost and quality constraints ensuring profitability is maximised and capital employed minimised.
- Project control and handling of project commercials including raising monthly / milestone invoices.
- Reviewing draft agreements, conditions of contracts, and offers from the bidders, raise clarifications and prepare bid evaluation reports.
- Handle communication - correspondences received from clients, contractors, sub-contractors, other divisions / departments, local authorities, etc and take action immediately to resolve any issues to ensure uninterrupted progress of works.
- Study claims such as time extensions and cost claims in accordance with the contract, and prepare report with recommendation for client review and approval.
- Pre-qualify contractors, sub-contractors and support Engineering Department for pre-qualifying Consultants and vendors.
- Attending internal, external audits, participating site QHSE audits
- Control and review the works carried out by contractors and sub-contractor/consultants, certify their progress invoices.
- Follow up and monitor the continuous progress of works to ensure implementation of project plans and schedules, technical compliance with specifications and end-users' requirements, and provides regular updates to the client.
- Hold regular site technical & progress review meetings and conducts inspection of on-going activities to ensure quality control and smooth progress.
- Organize Provisional and Final Hand-Over committees of projects in coordination with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Follow up with contractors for submission of final documentation, guarantees, operations & maintenance manuals, claims, variations and dispatch to end-users for project close-out. Follow operational and technical problems during contractual liability period as per client requirements.
Other Responsibilities / Duties
- Using delivery objectives to create project plan and setting appropriate project controls. Preparation of project documentations such project scope of work, project control documents, project schedules, progress reports, etc.
- Overseeing project team activities ensuring proper coordination. Guiding and mentoring on the team members on technical and project matters ensuring successful completion of the project.
- Day to day management and leadership of the project team by demonstrating technical expertise, providing in-depth knowledge and leadership competencies. Working with the project team, develop appropriate delivery methodologies suited to the project.
- Implementing the project plan of work including project control system ensuring compliance with organisation governance system and project/contract requirements.
- Ensuring change management is in place and agreed with relevant stakeholders.
- Identifying and monitoring project risks and developing a mitigation plan. Managing and fostering relationships with all stakeholders including local authorities and subconsultants/sub-contractors.
- Responsible for implementation of organisations and project/contract Quality, HSE plan ensuring wellbeing of project team members.
Essential And Desirable Requirements
- B.E. Electrical Engineering with recent experience in EHV Power transmission in Project Manager’s role. Work experience in Oman and middle east Power transmission industry is desirable.
- PMP certification is must.
- Candidate must be familiar with IEC, IEEE and relevant international industry standards. Familiarity with Oman and UAE/middle east power transmission industry practices, standards will be an added advantage.
- The role will require frequent travel to site/s and hence, candidate possessing UAE or Oman driving licence will be an added advantage.
- Strong people management and relational skills.
- Good written, verbal communication and presentation skills in English.,

المواجهة الخارجية:
- العمل كنقطة محورية للمنظمة للمشروع. العمل كواجهة بين العميل والمنظمة والمقاولين والموردين والمهندسين متعددي التخصصات وموظفي المشاريع الهندسية الآخرين.
- إدارة ومراقبة تقدم المشروع من مرحلة الترسية حتى إصدار شهادة القبول النهائي. ضمان التنسيق المناسب لأنشطة المشروع المختلفة في مراحل المشروع المذكورة.
- مناقشة وتنسيق الأمور اليومية مع جميع أصحاب المصلحة ذوي الصلة، وعقد اجتماعات منتظمة لمراجعة حالة المشاريع وجميع القضايا ذات الصلة.
- قيادة تسليم المشروع بما يتماشى مع النتائج المتفق عليها ضمن الأطر الزمنية وقيود التكلفة والجودة مما يضمن تعظيم الربحية وتقليل رأس المال المستخدم.
- التحكم في المشروع والتعامل مع الإعلانات التجارية للمشروع بما في ذلك رفع الفواتير الشهرية / الهامة.

- المتابعة مع المقاولين لتقديم الوثائق النهائية والضمانات وأدلة العمليات والصيانة والمطالبات والتغييرات وإرسالها إلى المستخدمين النهائيين لإغلاق المشروع. متابعة المشاكل التشغيلية والفنية خلال فترة المسؤولية التعاقدية حسب متطلبات العميل.
المسؤوليات / الواجبات الأخرى
- استخدام أهداف التسليم لإنشاء خطة المشروع ووضع ضوابط المشروع المناسبة. إعداد وثائق المشروع مثل نطاق عمل المشروع، ووثائق مراقبة المشروع، والجداول الزمنية للمشروع، والتقارير المرحلية، وما إلى ذلك.
- الإشراف على أنشطة فريق المشروع لضمان التنسيق المناسب. التوجيه والتوجيه لأعضاء الفريق بشأن المسائل الفنية والمتعلقة بالمشروع لضمان إكمال المشروع بنجاح.

المتطلبات الأساسية والمرغوبة
- كن مهندسًا كهربائيًا يتمتع بخبرة حديثة في نقل الطاقة EHV في دور مدير المشروع. خبرة العمل في عمان والشرق الأوسط صناعة نقل الطاقة أمر مرغوب فيه.
- شهادة PMP أمر لا بد منه.
- يجب أن يكون المرشح على دراية بـ IEC وIEEE ومعايير الصناعة الدولية ذات الصلة. الإلمام بممارسات صناعة نقل الطاقة في عمان والإمارات العربية المتحدة/الشرق الأوسط، ستكون المعايير ميزة إضافية.
- سيتطلب الدور السفر المتكرر إلى الموقع/المواقع، وبالتالي، سيكون المرشح الذي يمتلك رخصة قيادة إماراتية أو عمان ميزة إضافية.
- إدارة قوية للأفراد ومهارات العلاقات.
- مهارات جيدة في الكتابة والاتصال الشفهي والعرض باللغة الإنجليزية.
