   Protected: HSE Officer

Job Description & Activities:

• HSE officer is aware of his own role, higher management’s expectations and the tasks which have to be executed by him. He will spend time on terminal activities observation and monitoring, and will execute administrative related works in the main office or terminal office.
• Position Objectives:
• HSE Officer will proactively support in prevent accidents, injuries, and illnesses in the workplace, creating a safer and healthier work environment for everyone involved in the terminal.

Key Tasks & Accountabilities:

• Plan and implement OHS policies, procedures and programs.
• Identfy hazards and conduct risk assessmnet.
• Correct unsafe behaviour and provide guideance for everyone.
• Promote and develop a strong HSE culture.
• Conduct relevant HSE training.
• Carry out regular site inspection at work site.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure that safety measures are being followed and to identify any new hazards or areas for improvement.

• Ensure rates of the accident are kept to a minimum.
• Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine their root causes and prevetive measures.
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures and first-aid protocols. Ensure that employees are trained in these procedures.
• Ensure the compliance with all relevant safety laws, regulations, and standards
• Maintain HSE records and documentation.
• Any other matters entrusted by HSSE manager or HSE Team leader.

Profile, Qualification Competencies & Skills:

• Good in Arabic and English i.e., both verbally as well as in writing
• Proficiency in IT applications and MS Office such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
• Good leadership skills to influence and drive a culture of safety within the organization
• Can work independently and has ownership, pro-active attitude, self-starter, takes initiative
• Ability to work well with others, build relationships, and collaborate with employees at all levels of the organization
• Able to adapt to changes and improvements
• Able to work in normal duty hours, shift rotation or over-time
• Valid driveing license
• Valid good conduct certificate from ROP

• يدرك مسؤول الصحة والسلامة والبيئة دوره وتوقعات الإدارة العليا والمهام التي يتعين عليه تنفيذها. وسيقضي وقتًا في مراقبة ومراقبة الأنشطة الطرفية، وسيقوم بتنفيذ الأعمال الإدارية ذات الصلة في المكتب الرئيسي أو مكتب المحطة.

• تطوير والحفاظ على خطط الاستجابة للطوارئ، بما في ذلك إجراءات الإخلاء وبروتوكولات الإسعافات الأولية. التأكد من تدريب الموظفين على هذه الإجراءات.
