Required jobs in Awasr company and their details:
Lead Engineer - Transmission Planning
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Create detailed short and long-term strategic roadmaps, indicating various activities and implementation efforts as well as the amount of resources/investment necessary to implement them.
- Create robust and future-proof transmission and access architectures and designs for all Awasr network aspects, including architectural standards and principles, general design documentation, and configurations as appropriate.
- DWDM and GPON network planning, design, and project implementation.
- Design and document SLAs for internal and external service performance tracking purposes.
- Ensure that incoming new systems are compatible and integrated in a way to provides the best technical performance and service quality.
- Ensure that network infrastructure is fully documented and performing as required for SLAs and best practices through specific metrics and measurements.
- Evaluate alternative technologies and architectures concerning infrastructure needs. Interface with Awasr teams and vendors to develop and implement new solutions to meet business requirements.
- Perform analytical, technical, cost analysis and CAPEX development work in the planning, design, installation and ongoing administration and management of the end-to-end Awasr network and services.
- Support the general improvement of network planning, design, and implementation standards and processes and associated KPIs.
Key Skills and Knowledge:
- Thorough understanding of modern service provider data networks using standards and technologies including but not limited to PON technologies (GPON, XGPON, XGSPON, NGPON2, etc), Optical networking (OADM, etc), Channel Bonding, LAG, MPLS, Wi-Fi, DWDM, Traffic Engineering and other networking protocols and functions.
- Optical budget considerations and SFP and PON options.
- Thorough knowledge of international transport connectivity design and principles.
- Thorough understanding of Access network key elements: FTTX elements (OLT, ONT, interworking), Wi-Fi, MetroE, SDH/PDH systems, et al.
- Thorough understanding of Access and Transport network key elements.
- Understanding of best practices in carrier telephony networks.
- Working knowledge of end-to-end QoS design and implementation.
- Vendor Management.
- Critical thinking and analytical thinking
- Communication and negotiation skills
- Recent experience with Software Defined Networking, etc.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications, Network Engineering, Computer Science or other related disciplines (B.S. Required, M.S. Preferred)
Professional Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate with 10-12 years of experience.
- Postgraduate 8-10 years of experience.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in a Transmission & Access Planning role, or similar experience.
- A robust knowledge of Huawei offerings is beneficial.
- ITIL/eTOM certificates is a plus.
