Position Overview:
- ABA seeks a knowledgeable and effective Learning Support teacher to work in collaboration with the Elementary School Learning Support team, classroom and specialist teachers, students, and parents, who is able to commit to our school's Mission, Vision, and Values.
- The successful candidate will holistically support the identified learning and/or English as an Additional Language (EAL) needs of students and their teachers in line with inclusive best practices, with the aim of increasing independent access and success within the ABA curriculum.
- The ABA LS teacher is an individual with inclusive values and teaching practices who has experience with teaching in inclusive international schools. In addition to specific skills and qualifications, strengths in the following areas are an advantage: efficacy, flexibility, craftsmanship, consciousness, and interdependence.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a supportive and knowledgeable relationship with each student; thoroughly understand specific learning needs, language background, cultural factors, strengths, interests, etc., and use this information when creating a student’s plan.
- Advocate for students, educate students, parents, and teachers about individual learning profiles, and encourage student self-advocacy and an environment of respect.
- Collaborate closely with homeroom teachers to develop class profiles and identify students for intervention.
- Create and document student plans using data and considering individual student needs and performance (ILP’s and Intervention Plans), that clearly communicate student needs, performance, goals, timeframe, and measures of success.
- Provide direct support for students in line with ILP and grade level goals with a focus on increasing success and growth within the classroom
- Collaborate with and support teachers to ensure that students' needs are being met in the classroom.

- Hold specialist qualifications and/or experience related to specific learning needs
- Demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness and is reflective upon practice.

- يبحث ABA عن مدرس دعم التعلم واسع المعرفة والفعالية للعمل بالتعاون مع فريق دعم التعلم في المدرسة الابتدائية والفصول الدراسية والمعلمين المتخصصين والطلاب وأولياء الأمور، القادرين على الالتزام بمهمة مدرستنا ورؤيتها وقيمها.
- سيدعم المرشح الناجح بشكل كلي احتياجات التعلم المحددة و/أو اللغة الإنجليزية كلغة إضافية (EAL) للطلاب ومعلميهم بما يتماشى مع أفضل الممارسات الشاملة، بهدف زيادة الوصول المستقل والنجاح ضمن منهج ABA.
- مدرس ABA LS هو فرد يتمتع بقيم وممارسات تعليمية شاملة ولديه خبرة في التدريس في المدارس الدولية الشاملة. بالإضافة إلى المهارات والمؤهلات المحددة، تعتبر نقاط القوة في المجالات التالية ميزة: الفعالية والمرونة والحرفية والوعي والاعتماد المتبادل.
المسؤوليات:
