Salalah Steel Industries is seeking a QC In-Charge in Salalah, Oman. The role is responsible for ensuring that rebar products meet required international standards such as BS4449 and ASTM. Duties include monitoring chemical composition, mechanical properties, and dimensional tolerances, managing raw materials, supervising the hot rolling process, conducting laboratory tests, and ensuring full traceability of production batches.

Requirements

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering (Chemistry, Metallurgy, or related field). Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment such as UTM, spectrometers, rib geometry tools, bending machines, and CARES certification systems is required. Experience with BS4449 and CARES compliance standards is essential. Applicants must have strong computer skills including spreadsheets, lab software, and reporting systems, along with a good command of English.

Responsibilities

The role includes process control and monitoring of rolling mill operations, management of quenching and tempering processes, ensuring dimensional and structural compliance, and conducting regular inspections of production quality. It also involves performing tensile, elongation, bend/rebend tests, chemical analysis using spectrometers, and calculating yield strength and standard deviation. The candidate will also be responsible for identifying non-conformances, implementing corrective actions, maintaining calibration of lab equipment, and preparing audit documentation for external CARES inspections.

تعلن شركة صلالة للصناعات الفولاذية عن حاجتها إلى مسؤول مراقبة جودة في صلالة، سلطنة عمان. يُعنى هذا المنصب بضمان مطابقة منتجات حديد التسليح للمعايير الدولية المطلوبة، مثل BS4449 وASTM. وتشمل مهامه مراقبة التركيب الكيميائي والخواص الميكانيكية والتفاوتات الأبعاد، وإدارة المواد الخام، والإشراف على عملية الدرفلة على الساخن، وإجراء الاختبارات المعملية، وضمان تتبع دفعات الإنتاج بشكل كامل.

متطلبات

يشمل هذا الدور مراقبة عمليات مصانع الدرفلة والتحكم بها، وإدارة عمليات التبريد والتطبيع، وضمان مطابقة الأبعاد والهيكل، وإجراء عمليات تفتيش دورية لجودة الإنتاج. كما يتضمن إجراء اختبارات الشد والاستطالة والانحناء/إعادة الانحناء، والتحليل الكيميائي باستخدام أجهزة قياس الطيف، وحساب مقاومة الخضوع والانحراف المعياري. سيكون المرشح مسؤولاً أيضاً عن تحديد حالات عدم المطابقة، وتنفيذ الإجراءات التصحيحية، وصيانة معايرة معدات المختبر، وإعداد وثائق التدقيق لعمليات التفتيش الخارجية التي تجريها هيئة CARES.
