ORACLE PL/SQL DEVELOPER JOB DESCRIPTION

As an Oracle PL/SQL Developer you will be responsible for the day to day development and support of the Oracle PL/SQL environment and installed products. You will work with the development leads to develop and support stable and qualitative Oracle PL/SQL solutions. The Oracle PL/SQL developer will report directly to the Development Lead.

The Oracle PL/SQL Developer is part of the Oracle Development team to formulate and define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written. The Oracle PL/SQL developer provides supports where needed and assists in the integration of new IT solutions.

Utilizing Oracle PL/SQL features develops critical components of the solution, including but not limited to, security rules, infrastructure, custom adapter implementation, database interaction and application interfaces. Must implement industry best business practices, Social Insurance, and information assurance policies regarding system coding, and analysis.

Responsibilities

•  Develop, Maintain the Oracle PL/SQL program unit portfolio through upgrades and patches
•  Assist with implementation of new Oracle PL/SQL program unit
•  Provide support for Oracle PL/SQL
•  Participate in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring of Oracle PL/SQL environment
•  Document Oracle PL/SQL solutions
•  Test and update Oracle PL/SQL solutions on new Oracle PL/SQL releases

Desired Skills

 Expert skills and knowledge of the Oracle PL/SQL platform (12c and 19c)

 Extensive experience in writing advanced PL/SQL program units in a clean and logically structured code. And professionally structure advanced algorithms

 Mastering database management and performance planning tools

 Deep understanding of data correctness, consistency, integrity, security and encryption (data and code)

 Being able to analyze business/functional requirements

Proactive, client oriented, result oriented, 'can do' mentality

 Able to clearly document the requirements with flow using MS Visio

 Fluent in English

Experience

•  8+ years’ experience in delivering Oracle based solutions
•  Minimum 5+ years’ experience in Oracle PL/SQL
• Qualification
•  Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related Technical degree
• Assets
•  Preferred to be oracle certified professional in application development (OCA + OCP)
