Advisor, Well Engineering (Two Years Contract)
About the job
Job Purpose:
This is a two-year contract as a Well Engineering Advisor. The Well Engineering Advisor is responsible for delivering high-quality technical assurance and advisory support across all well engineering activities within Block 6 and other EDO assets. This includes comprehensive cost reviews, budget optimization, well design improvement, contracts evaluation, and participation in value assurance reviews. The role ensures that well engineering activities are safe, cost-effective, technically robust, and aligned with EDO’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
1. Technical Assurance – Cost & Performance

Lead detailed reviews of capital and operating expenditures associated with well engineering.

Benchmark well engineering costs against regional and global industry standards.

Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining safety, integrity, and performance.
2. Budget Challenge & Optimization

Review operator budget submissions, challenge assumptions, and identify improvement areas.

Analyze spending patterns and cost drivers to support more accurate forecasting.

Provide recommendations for realistic and optimized well engineering budgets.
