Assistant Professor (Cybersecurity) Wanted in Oman
The Faculty of Computer Studies (FCS) at Arab Open University, Oman, is seeking passionate candidates (preferably Omani Nationals) to join as an Assistant Professor in Cybersecurity. This role involves teaching, research, industry engagement, and contributing to community initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Cybersecurity in English.
Conduct research in Cybersecurity and publish scholarly articles in reputable journals.
Actively engage in industry and community activities.
Participate in faculty and university-wide research and community service activities.
Lead or contribute to developing new academic programs.
Qualifications
Ph.D. in Cybersecurity.
PhD, Master, and Bachelor in Cybersecurity and Network Security.
Preference for candidates able to teach general Computer Science along with Cybersecurity and Network Security courses.
Strong mathematical background is an advantage.
Membership in professional associations in Cybersecurity (preferred).
Minimum 2 years teaching experience at the university/college level post-PhD.

تبحث كلية دراسات الحاسوب في الجامعة العربية المفتوحة بسلطنة عُمان عن مرشحين متحمسين (يفضل أن يكونوا مواطنين عُمانيين) للانضمام إلى فريقها كأستاذ مساعد في الأمن السيبراني. يشمل هذا الدور التدريس والبحث والتفاعل مع قطاع الصناعة والمساهمة في المبادرات المجتمعية.
المسؤوليات الرئيسية:
تدريس مقررات البكالوريوس والدراسات العليا في الأمن السيبراني باللغة الإنجليزية.
إجراء بحوث في مجال الأمن السيبراني ونشر مقالات علمية في مجلات مرموقة.
المشاركة الفعّالة في أنشطة القطاعين العام والخاص.
المشاركة في أنشطة البحث وخدمة المجتمع على مستوى أعضاء هيئة التدريس والجامعة.
قيادة أو المساهمة في تطوير برامج أكاديمية جديدة.
المؤهلات:
دكتوراه في الأمن السيبراني،
ودكتوراه، وماجستير، وبكالوريوس في الأمن السيبراني وأمن الشبكات.
يُفضل من لديه القدرة على تدريس علوم الحاسوب العامة، بالإضافة إلى مقررات الأمن السيبراني وأمن الشبكات.
تُعدّ الخلفية الرياضية القوية ميزة إضافية.
يُفضل العضوية في الجمعيات المهنية في مجال الأمن السيبراني.
خبرة تدريس لا تقل عن سنتين على مستوى الجامعة/الكلية بعد الدكتوراه.
