Inspection Engineer Opportunity in Oman – QA/QC Excellence Starts with You 

About the Company
A major industrial contractor delivering high-end mechanical and fabrication projects is looking for an experienced Inspection Engineer to ensure compliance with global quality standards and project-specific requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently verify that mechanical and welding activities by contractors/fabricators comply with applicable codes, client specifications, and quality standards
• Review and approve Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Qualification Tests (WQT)
• Perform stage-wise inspections—fit-up, in-process, and final welding—as per the approved Inspection and Test Plan (ITP)
• Ensure compliance with international standards like ASME, AWS, API, and any project-specific codes
• Inspect piping systems, pressure vessels, tanks, structural components, and mechanical assemblies
• Verify material certificates, dimensions, and installation accuracy against engineering drawings
• Witness hydrostatic and pneumatic tests and ensure proper documentation of test results

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Proven experience in QA/QC inspection for mechanical and welding works
• Strong familiarity with ASME, AWS, API standards and inspection protocols
• Skilled in technical drawings interpretation and inspection reporting
• Excellent coordination and communication skills with site teams and vendors

المسؤوليات الرئيسية

• التحقق بشكل مستقل من أن الأنشطة الميكانيكية واللحام التي يقوم بها المقاولون/المصنعون تتوافق مع القوانين المعمول بها ومواصفات العميل ومعايير الجودة
• مراجعة واعتماد مواصفات إجراءات اللحام (WPS)، وسجلات تأهيل الإجراءات (PQR)، واختبارات تأهيل اللحام (WQT)
• إجراء عمليات التفتيش على مراحل - التجهيز، أثناء العملية، واللحام النهائي - وفقًا لخطة التفتيش والاختبار المعتمدة (ITP)
• ضمان الامتثال للمعايير الدولية مثل ASME وAWS وAPI وأي أكواد خاصة بالمشروع
• فحص أنظمة الأنابيب وأوعية الضغط والخزانات والمكونات الهيكلية والتجمعات الميكانيكية
• التحقق من شهادات المواد والأبعاد ودقة التركيب وفقًا للرسومات الهندسية
• كن شاهدًا على الاختبارات الهيدروستاتيكية والهوائية وتأكد من توثيق نتائج الاختبار بشكل صحيح

• درجة البكالوريوس في الهندسة الميكانيكية أو مجال ذي صلة
• خبرة مثبتة في فحص ضمان الجودة ومراقبة الجودة للأعمال الميكانيكية واللحام

• ماهر في تفسير الرسومات الفنية وإعداد التقارير التفتيشية
