Definition:

Quality Engineer will be responsible to test Products, Process and procedures to ensure they meet Safety and Quality standards.


To be successful in this role, candidate should be familiar with various inspection techniques and be able to act as an Auditor for all of our internal systems identifying issues and recommending solutions. Must’ve Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical or Automobile with ISO 9001:2015 internal auditor certificate provided by Top agencies. Must have great attention to detail, to ultimately build products that address Customers’ needs.


Overall Purpose of the Role:

Support the Quality Manager, who is responsible for Material, Process, Product & System Quality, whilst respecting the defined goals. Manage all aspects of the line through collaborative working with the other Department’s Supervisors, Managers for delivering, and where possible, exceeding the key performance indicators within the operation.


As ISO Specialist, must extensively work on QMS process maintenance, Reporting on QMS performance & Promote Customer requirements as per ISO 9001:2015 standards. Should have good working knowledge on requirements of EMS & OSHA


Should strive to continually improve using Lean tools to reduce costs, & enhance Quality. Act independently at the organizational level. Outcomes reviewed by organizational head. Decisions and results have an impact on the function and their success.

Key Responsibilities:

1. GENERAL AND TASK MANAGEMENT


· Set detailed guidelines on what needs to be checked and what the quality standards are by establishing Quality Inspection procedure, Critical to Quality Parameters etc.


· Maintain ISO 9001:2015 standards in Karwa Motors based on requirement.


· Update Quality Management System (QMS) with incidents, fixes, and improvements


· Establish Integrated Management Systems (ISO 14001:2015 - EMS & OSHA 45001:2018 – HSE) standards in Karwa Motors


· Good working knowledge of Aspect Impact Study (EMS) & Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (OSHA)


· Determine Quality metrics for all manufacturing procedures


· Monitor the entire production cycle and perform regular tests to identify potential malfunctions as early as possible


· Inspect product, materials and processes for defects and durability


· Identify the root of Technical issues and recommend fixes


· Prepare Quality dashboards of various KPIs monthly


· Review current blueprints, drawings, and Quality documentation


· Coordinate with external Quality assurance Auditors (ISO) for Surveillance audits


· Work with internal teams to increase customer satisfaction by improving the quality of the products


· Ensure that internal delivery processes are adhered to support dispatch time windows


· Support the resolution of Customer concerns. Identify and eliminate root cause using robust countermeasures. Sustain the corrective actions to eliminate repeat issues


2. PEOPLE MANAGEMENT


· Supervise and control resource effectively to support customer delivery requirements and Lean Manufacturing principles


· Monitor and maintain Quality department’s Absence Control Procedures to ensure maximum attendance levels


· Deal with personnel issues on shift including interaction with Quality staff, in line with Company Policy and Agreements


· Responsible for training of operators for products and processes within the local team


· Maintain a professional relationship with ISO’s external agencies & co-ordinate with them during Audits in Factory


· Monitor the completion of tasks and ensure good performance and record on appropriate systems


· Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviors expected of them


· Ensure KPIs are met by working to the plan, including management of, and reporting


· Provide product expertise within team, and respond to operator queries


· Work proactively with support functions to fully define the processes/procedures/controls relevant to team activities. Provide support and input to continuous improvement activities within the team


3. RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT


· Liaise and communicate with other departments and ensure an effective interface with is maintained


· Feedback to the Management team to share ideas and improve operation, recommending, supporting and implementing continuous improvement activities and process and procedure improvements to optimize results and improve quality of delivery, in line with quality standards requirements delivery in line with Company and Customer requirements

Qualifications and Experience Levels:

· Minimum 6 years of experience in a high-volume OEM manufacturing environment. Bus or Truck industry only.


· Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering


· ISO 9001:2015 Internal auditor certification from Bureau Veritas or TUV or BSI is Mandatory


· ISO 14001 & OSHA 45001 certification (Internal auditor) will be an advantage.


· Six Sigma Green belt certification ASQ or IASSC (only) preferred.


· Product / Process Audit certification will be advantageous.


· Knowledge and understanding of Lean techniques, TQM is mandatory.


· Must be highly computer & English language proficient (B2.2). should be able to write technical journals, design slides and word documents.
